Education

Studies of Biology at the University of Leipzig with main focus on Plant Physiology. Diploma thesis about "Copper toxicity in Chlamydomonas reinhardtii cw-15: Physiological and genetic analyses of the responses of the antioxidative system to oxidative stress", Degree 2005.

Since 2006 Ph.D. student at the IMK-IFU with the topic “Function of Isoprene Emission in Poplar“.

Research Interests

  1. Impact of environmental factors on biosphere – atmosphere exchange of biogenic volatile organic  compounds (BVOC)
  2. Biosynthesis and physiological regulation of isoprene emission in poplar,  impact of abiotic and biotic factors
  3. Elucidation of  biological and ecosystemic functions of  isoprene

Project

DFG Research Group: ’Poplar – a model to address tree-specific questions’; subproject ‘ Identification of physiological functions of isoprene’; http://www.pappelgruppe.uni-goettingen.de/home/index_EN.html
